General

Do you sell your wood products to anyone and is there a minimum?
Yes, we sell to anyone: designer, woodworkers, carpenter, homeowner, anyone. There is no minimum quantities.

What are all products you manufacture?
We manufacture table and island legs, columns, porch posts, newel posts and balusters, balls and dowels, square furniture components, cabinet door, house trim, and picture frame moulding.

How large can you manufacture columns and turnings?
We manufacture up to 24” diameter and 20’ long. We also have other sizes available so please call for more details.

What can I expect from your guarantee?
We strive to provide our customers with great quality products. If you are not completely satisfied with your product, please contact us at 717-859-5944 and we will work with you to find a solution that suits your needs.

Do you provide custom work?
We can modify just about any turned part we sell or we can create a custom turning column or moulding from your design, drawing, or pattern part. We don’t require a minimum quantity. Contact us and we will provide you with a quote.

What grit is your product sanded to?
All of our products are sold without a finish. We sand them and are ready to be painted, stained and varnished. If you have a specific need, please let us know.

What does laminated mean?
Laminated basically refers to pieces of wood that we glue together to make a larger turning square. Then it is turned in order to achieve the dimensions that are required for the finished product. This is standard in the turning wood world.

What are some of the characteristics of the wood you carry?

Can you provide any of your products from a different type of wood then it is offered?
We have access to a lot of different wood types, but if you don’t see what you are looking for, contact us. We are also able to work from customer supplied blanks. Contact us for more details.

Purchasing Our Products

How can I purchase a product from you?
We provide three ways for you to be able to place an order with Turntech.

  1. Our Online Shop: We accept online orders at customturnings.com.
  2. By Phone: You can contact us directly at 717-859-5944 to place an order.
  3. By Fax: You can fax your order to 717-859-5966.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Discover. We also accept checks and money orders.

Does Turntech charge sales tax?
We will only charge sales tax when a product is actually purchased and picked up at our facility in Ephrata, PA or when orders have been shipped from our facility unless we have your PA Resale and Exempt Organization Certificate of Exemption on file with our office.

After I place an order, when will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged immediately for all online orders and for larger orders called in by phone or email we will run 50% down payment at time of order and balance at shipment. Full payment is needed on all orders before shipping. Orders placed for custom turnings, columns, or mouldings must be prepaid and are nonrefundable.

Do you offer discounts on large orders?
Please contact us for details on volume discounts.

Shipping/Returns

How will my product be shipped?
All of our products are shipped via UPS or FedEx. We provide ground, next-day air, second-day air, and three-day select. Large orders will be shipped via common carrier. Contact us for shipping rates at 717-859-5944.
